This quote was mentioned on the 13th of August 2008. The translation is as follows:

'Knowledge is the prelude to action.
If it is not bought into action, then the colour [virtue and benefit] of it will not be achieved'.

The difference between a person of Allah and the average person is that the person of Allah sees a lesson in all of life’s experiences and uses it to better himself or herself. The following is one such incident which Hadhrat Jee narrated about his own life, in order to teach many lessons. It has been rephrased and is not a direct translation. It was mentioned in a Ramadhan 2011 Majlis.

***

When I was in Madinah Shareef, I met a kapreh ka dohne wala [clothes’ washer/launder]. I grew very fond of him and took a liking to him. I asked him if he wanted to come to England.

He said, ‘Can you get everything there?’

I said, ‘I will try my utmost best for you’.

He said, ‘But this is not there’, pointing towards the Gumbad [blessed Dome of Masjid Nabawi].

When he said this, I felt shame within myself. When looking at him, you see a launder but he can be greater than Qutub Abdaal [ranks of the Awliyah].

Do not think every jungle as empty, for there might be a lion inside.

Hadhrat Jee mentioned the following Kitaab as a source when relating a stroy:

Kitaab: Hilyatul Awliya wa Tabaqaatul Asfiya

Translation: The Adornment of the Saints and the Ranks of the Spiritual Elite

Author: Shaykh Abu Nuaym Ahmad Isfahani [may Allah have mercy on him]

This Kitaab provides glimpses in to the lives of more than 200 Awliyah (Saints) of this Ummah, from the first three centuries.

In the 27th Ramadhan 2011 Majlis, Hadhrat Jee mentioned the quote of a Buzurg [great pious person]:

بھير تو بہت ہے ليکن اس ميں انسان چند ہی ہونگے

There is a large crowd, but from amongst them all, there will probably only be one person.

This quote is amazing because outwardly it seems like a paradox. A paradox is a 'seemingly absurd or self-contradictory statement that when explained may prove to be well founded or true.' The Buzurg was indicating to the fact that people are plenty but only a few have characteristics that differentiate them from animals. Only a few have kind and humane hearts.
